Many Illinois State University students receive scholarships from sources outside the University. Start searching locally with your high school guidance counselor or community college financial aid office, as local scholarships often have smaller applicant pools which means those awards may be easier to get. Be sure to apply for some regional and national awards as well. By casting a wide net, you are more likely to be awarded some scholarship dollars.
